CVS trip 10/31

What a great trip to CVS!! I walked out with almost $200 worth of stuff and I made money! I knew I was buying a few high priced items so I divided my purchases into two transactions so that I could use two of my $10/$50 coupons. Some of the coupons I used expired 10/31 so watch those dates!

Transaction #1

(1) Bayer Contour meter $14.99 each, earn $5 ECBs
- $10/1 Bayer Contour 8/8 RP (exp 10/31)
$4.99 each
Earned $5 ECBs

(1) Oral-B Cross-action power toothbrush $4.99 each, earn $2 ECBs
- $3/1 Oral-B battery powered toothbrush 10/31 P&G
$1.99 each
Earned $2 ECBs

(1) Contour USB meter $29.99 each, Earn $10 ECBs
- $20/1 Contour USB 10/31 RP
$9.99 each
Earned $10 ECBs

(1) Arizona sweet tea $.99 each (to bump me over $50. not pictured because I drank it.)

Used $10/$50 coupon.
Total paid $7 ECBs, total paid $1.30 OOP
Earned $17 ECBs, $8.70 profit!

Transaction #2
(1) Oral-B Cross-action power toothbrush $4.99 each, earn $2 ECBs
- $3/1 Oral-B battery powered toothbrush 10/31 P&G

(1) Olay Ribbons bodywash $7.00 each, earn $3 ECBs
- $5/1 Olay WYB Secret product 10/31 P&G
$2 each
Earned $3 ECBs

(1) Secret travel size $1.49 each

(1) Olay ProX Exfoliating cleanser $10.00 each, earn $5 ECBs

(2) Purex 3-in-1 BOGO @ $7.99 each
- $3/1 Purex laundry sheets 10/10 RP
$1.99 for both

(2) Campbells Chunky soup To-Go BOGO @ $3.79 each
- $50/2 Campbells soup 10/10 SS
$3.29 for both (not a great price at all, but I needed something to bump me to $50)

What I didn't realize is that the BOGO sales would only include the price of one item in my subtotal. I actually didn't have a subtotal of $50, it was only $44.25. But the cashier used my $10/$50 coupon anyways. Score!

Total paid $13 ECBs, total paid $2.12 OOP
Earned $14 ECBs, $1.12 cost!

My final profit for the trip was $7.58 in ECBs!!

  1. Fantastic!! Sounds like the CVS of a few months ago--making money while you carry out bags full of goodies. It has been slow but is certainly picking back up. Those $/$$ coupons really help--I miss them. Congrats on an amazing trip and thanks for linking up your CVS shopping trip at Simply CVS.
